Service Description

By the time you complete our training program, your dog will be fully prepared to take the certification test through any external therapy dog organization and be ready to start bringing joy to those who need it most! *Program Structure* 1. Initial Consultation & Temperament Evaluation - Duration: 1 Hour - This consultation includes a detailed assessment of your dog's temperament, current skills, and suitability for therapy work. - We'll develop a personalized training plan to help your dog meet therapy standards. 2. Obedience & Behavior Training - Duration: 1 Hour per session. - Basic Commands - Ensuring your dog is proficient in commands like sit, stay, down, come, and leave it. - Calm Behavior - Training your dog to remain composed in noisy, high-stress environments. - Gentle Interactions - Teaching your dog to approach and interact respectfully with various individuals, such as children and patients. - Distraction Training - Preparing your dog to maintain focus amidst distractions like loud noises or medical equipment. - Polite Socialization - Refining your dog's manners around strangers and other animals. - Long-Period Settling - Training your dog to patiently settle for extended periods during therapy visits. Handling Medical Equipment - Familiarizing your dog with medical devices like wheelchairs and walkers to ensure comfort around them. 3. Real-World Training & Socialization - Duration: Varies - Your dog will be trained in real-world environments, to simulate the therapy settings they'll be working in. - This includes practicing therapy visit protocols and desensitization to public environments. 4. Mock Therapy Dog Certification Tests - Duration: 1 Hour - We conduct mock certification tests to ensure your dog is fully prepared. - These tests simulate real evaluations and include assessments of your dog's response to people, unpredictable situations, and basic commands. 5. Final Evaluation & Certification Preparation - Duration: 1 Hour - This final evaluation reviews your dog’s readiness for therapy work. - You'll receive personalized feedback and a detailed plan to ensure your dog is ready to pass the certification exam. After completing our program, your dog will be prepared to immediately pursue certification through these organizations, or others, such as: - Pet Partners - Alliance of Therapy Dogs - Therapy Dogs International (TDI) These organizations specialize in certifying therapy dogs and are recognized internationally.


Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy: - Advance Booking: Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. - Confirmation: Clients will receive a booking confirmation via email or SMS upon successful booking. - Payment: Full payment or a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the appointment. - Availability: Bookings are subject to trainer availability and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellation Policy: - Cancellation Notice: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session without penalty. - Late Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session will incur a fee of 50% of the session cost. - No-Show Policy: If a client fails to show up for a session without prior notice, the full session fee will be charged. - Emergency Cancellations: In case of emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss potential waivers of cancellation fees. Waitlist Policy: - Joining the Waitlist: If a desired session time is fully booked, clients can join the waitlist by contacting us via email or phone. - Notification: Clients on the waitlist will be notified of openings via email or SMS in the order they joined the list. - Response Time: Once notified of an available slot, clients must respond within 12 hours to confirm the booking. Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in the offer being made to the next client on the waitlist. - Priority: Waitlist priority is given based on the order of requests received. Clients who frequently cancel or reschedule may be given lower priority. General Policies: - Trainer Changes: In the event of a trainer's unavailability, we will provide a suitable replacement or offer to reschedule the session at the client's convenience. - Session Time: Sessions start and end promptly as scheduled. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session time. Important Notice: SMS and Email Notifications - Please be aware that by booking an appointment with us, you agree to receive SMS messages and emails related to your booking. These notifications will include appointment confirmations, reminders, and any necessary updates. - If you have any questions or concerns about these communications, please contact us before proceeding with your booking.
